The Account Manager must be able to provide on-site support as needed (3-5 times/week) to Green Bay's customer base in the Northeast region. Under general direction from the Director of Sales, this position will identify, develop, and convert new opportunities into successful business.
- Continual understanding of the current corrugated marketplace as it relates to general market conditions - Provide information, process requests for samples and price quotations to customers utilizing general and on-line commerce methods - Hunt for new customers that fit the divisional business model - Make regular service calls on any assigned major accounts to determine level of service - Promote new and/or additional services and products to existing and new customers - Keep detailed records and verify information of existing accounts and making any changes as needed and required to maintain accuracy of data. - Enjoys a fast-paced environment - Strong ability to take initiative and confidently direct customer interactions - Gets satisfaction out of helping others
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE: - Bachelor’s Degree preferred - Minimum three (3) years outside sales experience - Solid work ethic comprised of high levels of self-motivation, passion, and engagement - Ability to work independently - Strong problem solving and organizational skills - Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills - Commitment to outstanding customer service - Experienced in cold calling and successful prospect development - Corrugated Experience - Preferred
