Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development (BD) Director to drive growth in Chicago, Washington D.C., or New York. The role involves selling Audit, Tax, and Consulting services to clients within the Nonprofit & Education industry segments across these markets. The BD Director will lead all aspects of the sales process, including prospect targeting, strategy development, pursuit team selection, and closing deals. Building and maintaining strong sales pipelines and forecasts, preparing presentations and proposals, and working closely with industry and line-of-business leaders are essential responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and qualifying new opportunities within unserved companies.
• Executing the sales plan, coordinating internal and external resources.
• Networking through industry groups, professional affiliations, and Centers of Influence.
• Collaborating with industry leaders to identify and target key companies and prospects.
• Supporting cross-selling efforts with existing clients.
• Developing targeted go-to-market plans with marketing resources.
• Providing feedback on market opportunities to management.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 10+ years of successful experience selling professional services to mid- to large-sized corporations.
• Proven success managing complex sales processes involving multiple decision-makers, including C-suite executives.
• Strong network within middle-market companies and professional service contacts.
• Experience with RFPs, SOWs, CRM tools, and social media for networking.
• Excellent negotiation, influence, and business acumen skills.
• Self-motivated with strong time management.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active C-level contacts in nonprofit and education sectors.
• Community involvement and industry association participation.
• Experience with Big Four or similar firms is a plus.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and organizational skills.

Salary range: $100,000 - $300,000, with discretionary bonuses based on performance.
