CAD Drafter

This exciting role will be responsible for designing and preparing technical drawings using CAD Software. A solid understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems and proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD will be needed to be successful in this role. They are headquartered in the Gooding, ID area. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of a variety of agricultural and dairy equipment. Responsibilities:

• Design mechanical and hydraulic products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods and studying customer requirements.
• Extensive working knowledge of CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks, to be able to prepare technical drawings efficiently
• Ability to analyze design sketches and specifications to create technical drawings
• Create and maintain bills of materials and manufacturing routings.
• Review and mark up new and existing engineering drawings and engineering specifications for products.
• Design and develop new products.
• Design and develop production tooling.
• Helps the engineering team develop the structural design of products using drafting and CAD software such as SolidWorks.
• Researches and analyzes customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, or other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, or maintenance requirements of designs or applications.

Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of CAD drafting experience is required
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD (or similar 3D CAD software) is required
• Strong attention to detail to ensure drawings are accurate according to specifications
• Time management skills to work with multiple projects and competing deadlines
• Knowledge of engineering practices and industry standards
• Advanced mathematical skills
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• A solid understanding of mechanical systems, electromechanical systems, and manufacturing processes is preferred

Salary Range:

• $45,000-75,000 depending on experience.
