Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on site development projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of earthwork, utility installation, and civil site construction who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate field crews and subcontractors for site development projects.
Oversee excavation, grading, storm/sanitary sewer, and waterline installations.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, including conducting daily safety briefings.
Interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure accurate field execution.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and inspectors to resolve issues and keep the project on schedule.
Maintain accurate project documentation including daily logs, material tracking, and progress updates.
Manage site logistics including equipment coordination, deliveries, and erosion control measures.
Utilize GPS-based grading and layout systems to ensure precision and efficiency.
Mentor field personnel and help foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
5+ years of heavy civil or site development experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong working knowledge of excavation, underground utility installation, and grading.
Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience with GPS layout and machine control systems (e.g., Trimble).
Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, plans, and specifications.
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
