Role Summary: Vacation is looking for a talented Copywriter to contribute to and elevate the brands copy across all channels and formats. Reporting to the VP of Brand, this role combines brand storytelling and product-driven communication, offering the opportunity to shape the brands creative voice while supporting performance marketing and e-commerce efforts. In addition to being a great writer, the ideal candidate is highly collaborative, organized, and eager to help build scalable processes while maintaining impeccable attention to detail. In addition to day-to-day copywriting needs, the role will require ad-hoc general creative work across the company, collaborating regularly with the Growth Marketing, Sales, Events & Partnerships teams.This is a remote role; candidates must be authorized now and in the future to work in the United States. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Product Marketing: Assist with creative development and execution of product marketing messaging, owning what we say about our products and how we say it across various marketing touch points (e.g., product packaging, website descriptions, social media, retailer websites, product training materials, sell sheets, POS marketing materials e.g. fixtures, shelf talkers, performance marketing assets and more). Assist with creative development for new product launch campaigns, working closely with design team and marketing team on the concepting and creation of campaign concepts, photoshoots, and marketing launch materials Contribute to new product ideation and product naming Brand Marketing: Assist with the creative development of partnership and event initiatives including concepting, presentation materials, and campaign creative elements Own the creation and execution of social media copy and concept needs (e.g. Instagram concepts and captions, video content ideas and scripts, print ad long copy) Take the lead on the copy development and execution of owned emails and blog content, to be briefed and managed by the growth marketing team Assist with ad hoc concepting and copywriting needs (e.g. retail activations and promotional support, sweepstakes/social competitions, OOH ads, scripts for retailer education videos) Administration: Assist in the development, implementation and ongoing optimization of department processes and guidelines to effectively deliver on tasks and objectives Own the creation and management of internal and external resources for the correct usage of product and brand marketing messaging e.g. guides and copy libraries Assist with onboarding new copywriters, freelancers, and agencies on brand tone, systems, and processes What You Bring Ability to excel in both brand and performance-oriented product copy Excellent grammar and proofreading skills Comfort working within an established brand aesthetic and copy tone Ability to execute well in a fast-paced department that requires quick turnarounds and flexibility Way of being and working that integrates fun and joy, aka you dont take yourself too seriously A penchant for the specific style that the Vacation brand exudes across its channels Qualifications Bachelors degree in a related field A successful submission to Vacations copywriting assessment Ability to work across a variety of tools including Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, Figma, and Adobe Experience collaborating closely with creative teams and project managers Familiarity with and love for sunscreenand a great sense of humor A desire to help grow Vacation into a household name and have fun doing so Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary, commensurate with experience Employee equity options Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage (100% coverage for employees) Annual learning and development stipend WFH stipend Application Instructions Please fill out the questions on this page Once complete, you will be prompted to click on a link that will take you to the assignment - be sure to hit submit on the initial application Your application will not be considered complete unless you complete both steps of this process This assignment will not be used for any purposes outside the application process What We Value Vacation employees have a deep hunger and eagerness to go above and beyond in everything they do.
