Job Description The Director, U.S. Policy will support the U.S. Policy & Analytics team, the Federal Government Affairs (FGA) team and the Business Evolution Strategy Development (BESD) team by monitoring, tracking, and analyzing key U.S. federal public policy issues that could impact AbbVie and the patients we serve. The Director will be lead within the U.S. Policy & Analytics team for all federal legislative and regulatory developments related to commercial insurance and PBM reform. The Director will work with internal stakeholders to determine the impact of new reforms and business models on AbbVie, guide development of policy positions, and work with the FGA team and BESD team to develop policy strategies. The Director will also identify emerging policy trends of interest to AbbVie and develop recommendations on how to prepare for threats and opportunities. The Director will be responsible for communicating changes in policies, trends, and/or other significant developments at the federal level to key internal stakeholders and co-developing strategies with internal colleagues to support our business objectives. The Director will also support the FGA and BESD teams in developing advocacy materials and messages that clearly articulate AbbVies position and/or strong counter arguments. The Director will be the strategic partner to senior leaders in the organization leading Federal Government Affairs, BESD, Global Policy & U.S. Access Strategies, Public Affairs, Market Access and Legal work focused on commercial insurance and PBM reform. The Director will set the federal policy priorities and strategically engage partners to generate enterprise-wide support and resources necessary to accomplish our goals.
