Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Direct responsibility for coordinating and executing the purchase and sale of vehicle and equipment assets
  • Direct responsibility for managing manufacturer warranties to the benefit the company
  • Responsible for implementing a vehicle and equipment software tracking system to monitor vehicle and equipment performance, the effectiveness of Fleet services and track all shop records related to parts, repairs and maintenance
  • Responsible for optimized asset management of approximately a 400-unit fleet, with emphasis on safety, meeting customer requirements, compliance with regulations, and cost benefit the organization's business plan, goals and budgets with corporate strategic goals and objectives.
  • Meet budget responsibilities through performance evaluation, economic modeling and leading team process improvement.
  • Administers the development of fleet policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with numerous federal, state and local laws, regulations, codes and ordinances.
  • Complex competitive technical issues and political social issues and develop strategies to achieve results that consider the perspective of a wide array of stakeholders
  • Participates in industry and professional forums in order to stay abreast of industry direction and new technologies
  • Minimizes overall material inventory value and pursue vendor managed material relationships when it benefits Peak Utilities Services Group and Subsidiaries
  • Manage purchase contracts to protect Peak Utilities Services Group and Subsidiaries interests.
  • Deliver continuous improvement in supplier delivery, quality and cost
  • Proactively plan for material demands and ensure timely receipt of materials to support construction schedules

Experience and Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • 5 plus of experience in fleet maintenance or repair with two years in a supervisor role required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-to-year basis
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
  • Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
