Front Desk Medical Receptionist

Shift/Hours : Monday - Friday 8:00-5:00 PM

Pay Range : $18/hr - $20/hr

Location : Fairfax, VA - 22030

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and register patients, update records, and manage appointments.
• Answer phones, address inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
• Verify insurance, collect co-pays, and manage patient check-in/out.
• Maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA) and organized records (EHR).
• Handle administrative tasks like scanning, filing, and managing correspondence.
• Assist with prior authorizations and basic billing tasks as needed.
• Ensure a clean and welcoming reception area.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; medical admin certification/experience a plus.
• Proficient with computers, MS Office, and ideally EHR systems.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Understanding of medical terminology and insurance basics is desirable.
• Professional, reliable, and a team player.
