We are a family-owned custom home builder and remodeler with a reputation for craftsmanship, integrity, and attention to detail. Our projects range from high-end new construction to complex renovations. We’re looking for a motivated Construction Laborer to join our team and grow with us.

Position Description

Perform tasks involving physical  labor at various construction sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types and a variety of other equipment and instruments.

 

Job Duties

Job duties of a general laborer vary. They will include cleaning and preparing a job site, loading and delivering materials, and using a variety of tools and machines such as hammers, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment, etc. Laborers set up and take down ladders, scaffolding, and other temporary structures. Ensure each home is Kept Clean and free of all debris. Working under the direction of the Project Superintendent-Schedule, coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendor deliveries, and building inspections within predetermined timeframe, on budget or below, with high quality and great attention to detail. Maintaining daily paperwork such as timecards. Promoting and maintaining a culture that values safety, health and cleanliness. Maintain safe work sites for subcontractors, ensuring that all sites are compliant with OSHA guidelines.

Requirements

General construction laborers must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance. Laborers must also be able to concentrate on their tasks. The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential. Some tools and machines are computerized, requiring technical knowledge to use.

 

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 40 hours per week. This position frequently requires long hours and weekend work.

Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day.
