Position Summary The Inside Sales Manager plays a key role in driving revenue and supporting the full sales process-from inquiry to close. This customer-focused role requires close collaboration with regional sales, engineering, and internal support teams to ensure timely, accurate, and profitable sales activity. Technical acumen and strong communication skills are essential to maintaining customer satisfaction and achieving organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare sales quotations with input from engineering and sales teams, maximizing profitability and aligning with financial goals.
- Maintain up-to-date price and cost sheets, adjusting to market trends and company margin objectives.
- Coordinate with engineering to integrate new products into the quoting process.
- Support regional sales teams by reviewing market pricing and competitive positioning.
- Evaluate customer needs and contracts for additional sales opportunities and risk.
- Leverage CRM (Salesforce) and ERP (Epicor) systems to track leads, quotes, and performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve post-sale issues, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Keep sales teams informed of new communication and productivity tools.
- Attend industry conferences and customer visits to promote solutions and support field sales efforts.
- Complete additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications - 3-5 years of experience in capital equipment sales, application engineering, or a related technical sales role.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Business with strong technical capabilities (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- Strong understanding of technical product applications and industrial manufacturing environments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with precision and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-driven and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Salesforce, Epicor ERP, and AutoCAD (preferred).
Work Environment & Physical Requirements - Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear.
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- May be exposed to moderate noise and moving mechanical components.
- Must possess the visual acuity necessary for close, distance, and peripheral vision, with the ability to adjust focus.
