Our client, a leading manufacturer in the packaging industry, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the operations team supporting the maintenance of essential machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a commitment to safety, and a detail-oriented mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Poughkeepsie, NY

Pay Range: $28 per hour

What's the Job?

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on packaging machines, liquid fill pumps, and other related equipment.
• Conduct machine safety inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Set up machines for production runs, including palletizers, conveyor systems, and pelletizer machines.
• Utilize troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections.

What's Needed?

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong skills in HVAC, plumbing, and plant construction.
• Experience with heavy equipment repair and facilities maintenance.
• Proficient in equipment troubleshooting and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of packaging machines, labeling systems, and conveyor systems.
