Want to help the energy transformation in the US? As a Nuclear Uprate Project Engineer, you will regularly meet with our nuclear generation customers, SEI engineering, projects, and manufacturing teams to ensure our products and services meet contractual requirements and exceed customer expectations. How You’ll Make an Impact Support the Nuclear Uprate Director by overseeing engineering, manufacturing, and project management of Nuclear Power Plant upgraded equipment such as Low-Pressure Turbines, High-Pressure Turbines, Generators, exciters, etc. Coordinate and discuss regular project reviews, factory testing, factory visits, and witness points. Monitor targets for engineering, manufacturing, and erection/commissioning for each contract. Collaborate with the SEI Major Projects Group PM to synchronize engineering and factory activities. Assist in coordinating a retained components study with engineering, project management, and the implementation team to ensure components not covered by the contracts are addressed. Develop training materials and lead classes to prepare the Nuclear Organization for complex project implementation. Drive innovations from creation through implementation. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience. 8+ years in the Power Generation Industry, with experience in Field Service, Project Management, or Engineering. Nuclear uprate experience is preferred. Excellent communication skills, with experience in presentations and briefings to management. Knowledge of component design and manufacturing processes. Willing to travel abroad to SEI and vendor facilities; able to pass security background check for access to US Nuclear power plants. Legally authorized to work in the US without employer sponsorship; Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
