Alternate work schedule Applicants must be available to work in the Stewart Library, Monday-Friday during regular department hours of 8am to 4pm. This position has flexible hours to accommodate class schedules, with specific hours to be predetermined, documented and approved by the direct supervisor.
Pay Grade Salary Hourly Pay Rate $14.00
FLSA Job Summary/Basic Function This is a paid internship opportunity for students majoring in an English Language and Literature program. This position is designed to fulfill the internship requirement for ENGL 4120 or other composition courses, and will take no more than two consecutive semesters to be completed. Open Educational Resources (OER) are free and openly licensed educational materials that can be used for teaching, learning, and research. This position will work with the OER Specialist, librarians and professors in locating, adapting, and creating high quality OER and other affordable course materials. In addition, they will provide editing and layout assistance in publishing "open" learning materials in the Pressbooks platform. This position may also assist with OER outreach and promotional strategies across the campuses.
Required Qualifications Must be a currentfull-time WSUstudent with a minimumGPAof 2.0
Preferred Qualifications - Detail-oriented student with research and editing experience
- Self-motivated and able to work on projects individually and manage multiple projects at once
- Excellent communication skills, including but not limited to: technical writing, computer skills, and professional communication
