Staff Cultural Characteristics: Growth mindset Christ-centered life Humility Pursues unity and reconciliation Loves and cares for others Job Responsibilities: Leads the following Camp Roger Outdoor Education programs: Weekday field trips with area schools Overnight and weekend group programming Camp Roger education programs such as homeschool and GO days Administratively manages: Group communication Final program details Designing group schedules, Appropriate staffing of groups Distribution and collection of group waivers and forms, Interview, hire and train staff Complete yearly evaluation for outdoor education specialists Provides group leadership including adventure course, team building and environmental education activities. Responsible for interviewing, hiring and training of staff Leads the staff in developing and improving curriculum, equipment care and general day-to-day problem solving. Involved with annual Camp Roger events such as fundraisers, Illuminations, etc. Manage adventure course, equipment and inspections. Job Requirements: Ability to lift 20 lbs. Working knowledge of Office 365. Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve. Excellent written and communication skills. Applicant should be available to begin training/work by Minimum of 3 years working with children in an educational setting.Degree in education preferred. Fluent, bi-literate English/Spanish preferred. Agrees to sign and strive to live up to the standards outlined in Camp Rogers Faith and Life Covenant (located at Attend CORE Workshop within first year of hire Compensation and Benefits: This is an hourly position averaging 35 hours per week during the school year and 10-20 hours per week in summer with a pay range of $20-22 per hour with overtime compensated at a 1.5 times hourly rate after 40 hours.
