Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Planning Manager to join our growing team. We are seeking a proactive and experienced leader to oversee the end-to-end planning process for finished goods in a dynamic, 24/7 manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for production order management, efficient scheduling, team leadership, raw material purchasing, and support of new product and customer launches. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, embraces continuous improvement, and has a strong background in Master Planning and MRP systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Order Management: Own and manage production and purchase orders from creation through closure, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts, production capacity, and inventory targets.
  • Scheduling & Inventory Optimization: Develop and execute efficient production schedules to meet customer demand while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. Conduct safety stock evaluation to support Fill Rate objectives. Evaluate alternatives for potential shortages to present for S&OP Consensus.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of planners to support round-the-clock operations. Ensure team coverage and support across all shifts.
  • Purchasing Management: Oversee purchasing activities related to raw materials. Collaborate with Sourcing and Quality teams to ensure supplier performance and cost optimization.
  • New Launch/Product Change Support: Partner cross-functionally to support successful new product introductions and customer onboarding through integrated planning and timely execution. Evaluate timing and impact of item obsolescence.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in planning processes, tools, and systems. Lead implementation and optimization of Master Planning and MRP to improve visibility, responsiveness, and efficiency across the supply chain.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in production planning, materials management, or supply chain operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience implementing or improving MRP and Master Planning systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with shifting priorities.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, or 24/7 operations is a strong plus.
