A Polysomnographic Technologist I at AdventHealth Gordon conducts comprehensive evaluations and treatment for sleep disorders using polysomnography and other diagnostic procedures. They prepare and calibrate equipment, apply sensors, monitor patient vitals, and provide patient education under supervision. This role supports patient care during nighttime shifts in a healthcare setting, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and safety protocols.

Schedule: Full Time

Shift : Nights: 3rd shift 7pm-7am, flexible days

The role you'll contribute:

The Polysomnographic Technologist will deliver safe and effective care, which is consistent with the standards of care for this discipline. A Polysomnographic Technologist works under the direction of a registered polysomnographic technologist and the clinical coordinator to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education. A Polysomnographic Technologist can provide supervision of a Polysomnographic Trainee.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Reviews patient history, physical information, medications, procedure request and study protocol.
• Explains procedure and orients patient to the sleep center.
• Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and adjust if necessary.
• Apply electrodes and sensors per accepted standards.
• Perform appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals and adjust if necessary.
• Perform positive airway pressure mask fitting

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• RPSGT - Registered Polysomnographic Technologist RRT-SD Certification Required
