We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Prepress Operator to join our production team. In this role, you’ll be a critical part of the print preparation process, ensuring customer artwork is print-ready, optimized, and delivered accurately and efficiently. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced print environment and takes pride in precision.

• Review incoming artwork and customer files for printability, completeness, and compliance with production specs.
• Perform file adjustments including trapping, imposition, color management, resolution checks, and layout corrections.
• Utilize Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) for prepress tasks.
• RIP and impose files using production workflow tools; generate proofs for internal and client review.
• Collaborate directly with Customer Service, Production, and Press departments to resolve file issues.
• Maintain organized digital file archives and ensure production consistency.

• 2+ years of experience in a prepress or digital print environment.
• Strong knowledge of prepress standards, offset/digital print processes, and color spaces (CMYK, spot colors, Pantone).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro).
• Experience with file formats including PDF/X, TIFF, EPS, AI, PSD.
• Familiarity with proofing processes and digital/offset output preparation.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot potential print issues before production.
• Ability to manage multiple jobs under tight deadlines in a collaborative team setting.

• Working knowledge of Heidelberg Prinect Workflow Software or similar prepress RIP/imposition systems.
• Experience with variable data print (VDP) and postal standards for direct mail.
• Exposure to wide-format printing and layout setup.
• Comfortable working across Mac and PC operating systems.

• Competitive hourly wage: $25.00 – $30.00/hr , based on experience.
