Senior Event Designer (Contract to Hire) Apply Direct What We're Looking For Marco Experiences is seeking a seasoned Senior Event Designer to lead the planning and execution of exceptional corporate offsites. This role is a key member of our Event Operations team and plays a critical part in Marco’s mission to deliver unparalleled customer experiences. In this role, you will manage multiple complex events simultaneously while contributing strategically to process and product development. You’ll be responsible for designing and delivering bespoke events that exceed client expectations and improve operational efficiency through collaboration across teams. What You'll Do Event Design [Planning & Client Management] The core responsibility of this role is to design, coordinate, and execute a wide range of high-impact events, virtually and in-person with clients (if needed). As a Senior Event Designer, you’ll ensure outstanding client satisfaction and contribute directly to Marco’s growth and success. Client-Centric Design and Execution: Create custom event concepts that align with each client’s unique vision and goals. Use a consultative approach to deeply understand client needs and deliver tailored, impactful events. Innovative Event Solutions: Stay ahead of industry trends to introduce fresh ideas, themes, and technologies that elevate our events. Address challenges with creativity and agility. Comprehensive Budget Management: Develop and oversee event budgets to maximize value while maintaining quality. Negotiate competitive pricing with vendors and suppliers. Flawless Logistics and Vendor Coordination: Plan and manage all logistical elements with precision. Build strong vendor relationships to ensure smooth execution and address issues proactively. Post-Event Analysis and Continuous Improvement: Evaluate event outcomes through client feedback and data analysis. Use these insights to enhance future projects and processes. Operations Strategy [Process and Product Improvement] A smaller but equally important part of this role involves contributing to strategic initiatives that refine our processes and integrate innovative solutions. Process Optimization: Identify and address inefficiencies in event workflows, implementing enhancements that improve productivity and reduce costs. Product Integration: Explore and adopt tools, technologies, and platforms that streamline event planning and improve client engagement. Data-Driven Insights: Leverage analytics and feedback to inform decisions, enhance offerings, and support Marco’s growth. Collaboration with Product Development: Partner with cross-functional teams to share operational insights, shaping products and services that align with client needs and industry trends. What You Have 5+ years of experience in event planning, corporate events, event production, or a related field. Experience in high-growth startups, freelancing, or similarly fast-paced environments. Proficiency with task management or project planning tools; experience with system configuration is a plus. Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams. Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to lead wide-scale projects and influence decision-making. A proactive attitude and a willingness to tackle tasks of all sizes—a “no task is too small” mentality. Bonus points for any background in the Hospitality industry. The pay range (during contract period) for this role is $45/hr. - $55/hr. based on experience.
