Premier Medical Staffing Services is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for a travel job in Janesville, Wisconsin.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• 12 hour and 8 hour shifts that equal 40 hours per week
• Weekend rotation of working every 3rd Saturday, with a call rotation weekday and weekend
• May be required to work flexible hours, alternate shifts and weekends and call as necessary
• May be required to flex hours/shift as needed to support the needs of the department
• Graduate of an accredited radiography program required
• Experience as an MRI Technologist required
• ARRT Radiography registration required
• ARRT MRI registration required
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

• Uses appropriate scripting, barriers and identifiers
• Practices aseptic technique and observes universal precautions

• Location: Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center - Janesville, WI
• Performs MRI procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
• Works as part of a multidisciplinary team, serving on committees and participating in projects as requested
• Performs procedures or examinations under the order of a licensed medical practitioner for diagnostic interpretation
• Prepares patient for procedures
• Provides patient instruction to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety
• Applies principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patient, self and others
• Selects and operates the magnetic resonance system, surface coils, physiologic gating devices, and associated equipment
• Positions the patient and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest
• Immobilizes patients as required for appropriate examination
• Selects appropriate pulse sequences with consideration given to established protocols
• Performs venipuncture, starts and maintains venous access
• Prepares and administers contrast media
• Verifies consent/screening form
• Assists the physician with interventional procedures
• Evaluates images and data for technical quality
• Manipulates and reconstructs digital data for display, ensuring proper identification is evident
• Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures
• Uses radiology information systems (including PACS)
• Completes all required records and reports
• Archives and submits images for physician review and interpretation
• Initiates basic life support action when necessary

• Provides practical instruction to partners and students
