HumanEdge Travel Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York.

Rotating D/E/N Shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights) OR option for Straight Nights
Schedule: 3x12s per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Location: Rochester, NY
Unit Type: Med/Surg – ED Boarder Unit
Care Setting: Emergency Department (non-ED RN role)
Work in a high-volume Level I Trauma Center in a dedicated Med/Surg boarder RN role. These nurses support admitted patients boarding in the ED , providing inpatient-level care in an emergency department setting. This is an excellent opportunity for Med/Surg nurses looking to gain experience in a high-acuity environment— no prior ED experience required .
Care for med/surg boarder patients in the ED (not ED patients)
Patient Ratio: 1:5 with assistive personnel support
Collaborate with emergency and inpatient care teams
Respond to patient condition changes and escalate as needed
Assist with ADLs, medication administration, assessments, and documentation
License: Active New York RN license (no compact)
Experience:
2 years of Med/Surg RN experience
Telemetry experience required
Certifications (AHA only):
BLS
ACLS
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Shift Length: 12 hours
Schedules: Rotating D/E/N or Straight Nights
Additional Requirements:
Holidays, weekends, on-call, callback as needed
