Work & Experience
In 2023 during my studies for a yacht surveyor and marine consultant I started my own business offering yacht surveying services to owners, purchaser and underwriters. I have conducted various surveys from limited scope surveys, insurance surveys to full condition, valuation and pre-purchase surveys onboard small yachts, motor and sailing.
m/y Nexus, 40m Sunseeker, 8 crew, Cayman Islands flag, ISM, Turkey Captain Oct 2021 – Nov 2022 Upon joining the yacht and while still cruised Turkish coast prepared shipyard work list, chose a yard in Turkey, received quotes and obtained approvals, carried out repair and maintenance yard works, completed surveys, hired and trained crew for the season. Back-to-back program in Turkey and Greece until mid - November.
M/Y Phoenix, 35m Turkish build, 6 crew, UK flag, Turkey Captain Sep 20 – Apr 21 4 weeks cruise along Turkish coast. Oversaw shipyard works in Turkey.
M/Y Legenda 41m Mondomarine, 7 crew, Cayman Islands, West Med and Turkey Captain Jul 2018 – Jan 2020 Busy charter season with excellent client feedback. High standards. Low crew turn over. 10 Year Class Survey and 6 weeks intensive yard period in Italy.
M/Y Keri Lee III, 55m Trinity, 12 crew, Cayman Islands, West Med & Caribbean Captain Feb 2017 – Apr 2018 Heavily chartered, 12 guests, Mediterranean, Caribbean and Florida. I took command as Captain for the first 2 months in Caribbean. From May until October, I was on Chief Officer position. Then, November until January as Captain during the shipyard period and Atlantic crossing. February till April as the Captain while the yacht was in Florida.
M/Y Idol, 59m Austal, 13 crew, Isle of Man, West Med & Florida Captain Jun 2015 – Jun 2016 In command of this large yacht during the charter season, trans-Atlantic crossings and part of a shipyard period. Preparations and executions of charters, daily running of the yacht, leading team of 13. Received excellent reference from a charter client. Rotational position.
M/Y Gloria Teresa, 42m Izar, UK Flag, Mediterranean Captain Sep 2011 – Oct 2014 Private and charter program, two shipyards periods, 5 years Lloyd’s special survey, fulfilling owners request that yacht was to be kept in immaculate condition. Mini-ISM. Low crew turn over.
