Job Description

Overview Geospatial Analyst position focused on enterprise GIS with Esri ArcGIS technology, server-side ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcSDE on SQL Server, and web/mobile applications. Role involves high-quality data development and management, client engagement, and enterprise GIS integration across business systems. This is a remote-friendly role with occasional client-site visits, offering benefits and a salary range of $90-130K. Responsibilities Engage directly with clients to gather information, understand business issues, establish functional and data requirements, and identify improvement opportunities. Apply systems thinking to streamline processes and system components for better outcomes. Write business analysis diagrams, workflows, documentation, and proposals. Acquire, manage, and maintain datasets from multiple sources and ensure data quality over time. Develop, implement, and administer ArcGIS Server/Enterprise with Portal for ArcGIS and client applications (e.g., Operations Dashboard, Maps for Office, ArcGIS for AutoCAD, Collector for ArcGIS). Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise geodatabases (primarily with Microsoft SQL Server) and document geodatabase architecture. Develop custom applications for desktop and web platforms. Perform complex spatial and relational data analysis to solve problems. Provide training, mentoring, and task assignments to staff, including analysts, technicians, and interns. Review technical work of staff and external partners. Assist in scoping GIS projects, participate in proposal development, respond to inquiries, and prepare materials for meetings and presentations. Communicate complex technical issues to non-technical users and serve as a technical representative on committees. Engage with vendors and consultants to stay current with technology advances and best practices. Support additional assignments as needed. Role Requirements Minimum seven (7) years of experience with Esri ArcGIS Platform, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, and extensions such as GeoEvent, Operations Dashboard, Insights, ArcGIS Online, Field Maps, and Story Maps. Practical Python programming experience for ArcGIS applications in a professional environment. Experience with geographic data sources from local, county, state, or federal agencies. Proficiency in spatial and relational data analysis, data management, modeling, statistics, and remote sensing. Advanced geodatabase management skills, particularly with Microsoft SQL Server. Application design and development, web authoring, and GIS scripting. Experience with spatial and tabular data collection, organization, management, and processing. Excellent written English with strong communication skills in GIS, BIM, AEC, and AR fields. Ability to understand, simplify, and streamline complex information systems and share insights with diverse audiences. Experience with project management principles and practices. Open-minded, collaborative, curious, self-motivated, and a lifelong learner. Self-starter, productive, and focused on delivering results. Willingness to learn new skills as needed. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Earth sciences, computer science, or closely related field. Preferred Qualifications GISP certification. Master's degree or equivalent in GIS or related field. Bonus Qualifications Autodesk products (AutoCAD 3D, Revit). Geospatial ETL (e.g., Safe Software FME Desktop/Server/Cloud). Cloud-based GIS architecture administration. Enterprise GIS for utility networks (water, sewer, storm drain, gas, electric). Pattern recognition and machine learning (DL and clustering). Development of native iOS apps. GNSS and LiDAR field data collection and processing.
