The Opportunity:

The Manager, Information Security leads the design and integration of security into Vivid Seats' business areas. This role ensures security is embedded from the start to protect information assets and systems within our digital ecosystem. It collaborates with platform engineering, software engineering, and product teams to implement security practices aligned with Agile development and business needs.

You will develop a high-performing, collaborative team, oversee organizational processes, coordinate projects, and build vendor relationships. You will also promote a security-conscious culture within the company, emphasizing both how and what is achieved.

Role Progression in First 30, 60, and 90 Days:

30 days:

• Understand Vivid Seats' values, goals, and how your department contributes.
• Meet with team members and stakeholders to understand needs and align on objectives.
• Collaborate with leadership to define technology vision and roadmap.
• Begin 1:1 meetings to understand team motivations and support needs.

60 days:

• Set and pursue personal and team goals aligned with department objectives.
• Lead initiatives to improve processes, foster innovation, and embody company values.
• Refine technical roadmaps and operational metrics.
• Identify ways to improve team workflows and increase efficiency.
• Build trust with team and key stakeholders, including executives.

90 days:

• Monitor and adjust team goals and performance.
• Prioritize and refine collaboration processes with stakeholders.
• Contribute to strategic planning and roadmap development.
• Establish yourself as a thought leader in Information Security within the company.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years in information security and technology, with experience in cloud/web applications, preferably in e-commerce.
• 3+ years leading teams and managing people.
• Deep knowledge of IT security technologies, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), and security frameworks (FISMA, NIST, ISO, PCI, SOC2).
• Experience with architectures, technologies (MySQL, React, Node.js, AWS, K8s), and scripting languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, Perl, Bash).
• Strong business acumen to align security initiatives with company goals.
• Proven ability to lead large security projects and training initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits: Full-time offers include bonuses, equity, PTO, health insurance, 401K matching, event discounts, and other perks. Salary range: $160,000 $195,000 USD.
