DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will assist the Medical Records Director while ensuring the safeguarding of sensitive, private, legally-protected, and confidential information. Your responsibilities will include the careful release, distribution, and communication of data strictly in line with established protocols and only to authorized personnel. A keen eye for detail is crucial, as you will need to verify the accuracy of records and make necessary updates to patient information. Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hour work week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of clerical experience in a medical records department of a hospital, or ambulatory acute medical care setting or a licensed nursing facility, which has included six months of experience under the general direction or oversight by a registered Medical Records Technician or Administrator; and graduation from high school; or Graduation from a medical secretarial or medical records program; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
