Upholstery Assembler

The Upholstery Assembler position is responsible for putting the vinyl covers and or carpet on the production and warranty components and securing them in place.

Essential Functions:

• Installs components on to sub-straights using various stretching, pulling and shaping techniques
• Completes work and inspects finished product for quality.
• Performs various manual assembly operations such as: trimming, hinge installation, and foam gluing.
• Identifies components for each task.
• Operates and performs daily cleaning and maintenance on various assembly machines such as: snap, hydem machine, screw guns, drills and staple guns.
• Identifies direction of nap of carpet.
• All other duties as assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

• Ability for rapid mental and muscular depth perception and distance
• Coordination simultaneously
• Quality minded

Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
